Warner Brothers might not have released that much information about Matt Reeve's The Batman just yet, however, it seems like plot details of the film have begun circulating online, revealing a detective-driver narrative where Robert Pattinson's version of Bruce Wayne finds himself discovering a conspiracy involving Batman's rogues gallery.
DC scooper Daniel Richtman recently went on YouTube to post a video revealing supposed plot details for The Batman, and according to the report, Bruce Wayne is going to be forced to explore the underbelly of Gotham after people begin dying in strange ways.
"The Batman will explore a detective case — when people start dying in strange ways, Batman must go deep into the dark world of Gotham to find clues and solve the mystery/conspiracy connected to Gotham City's history and criminals," the scooper explained in the video, "In the film, all of Batman Rogues Gallery are already out there and active, similar to the comics and animated shows/movies. The film will have multiple villains, as they are all suspects."
It seems like an interesting report. While we advise fans to take this reported plot description with a grain of salt, we do know that Reeves wants his film to center on a younger Batman that shows him being the world's greatest detective. According to the director, his movie is going to be a "noir-driven definitive Batman story" rooted in the dark, and shady streets of Gotham City where fans are going to see "more Batman in his detective mode than we've seen in the films."
These plot details also fit with older reports claiming that Batman would fight off his rogues gallery of villains including Penguin, Riddler, and Catwoman.
It's definitely an interesting plot description. Let's wait and see whether it'll be proven to be true.
