Robin Wright Returns in Opening Clip for Wonder Woman 1984

Robin Wright had played the part of Antiope in the first Wonder Woman film, and though her character may be dead, she makes an appearance in the opening scene of Wonder Woman 1984.

WB has officially released this clip to hype everyone up for the premiere next week. Check it out:

The movie basically opens with Diana training in her youth and participating in some kind of Amazon Olympic event. We don't actually get to watch how it goes, but I believe that everything the Amazons are doing from swinging around to standing on horseback is supposed to foreshadow what Wonder Woman is going to do in the actual film.

I also have no doubt that Antiope's incredibly vague advice is supposed to come back at some crucial point in the film where Diana is at a low point.

So far, early reviews for Wonder Woman 1984 have been great, and even director Patty Jenkins was kind of regretting not having the movie release in November 2019. Though some were hoping that they just held out the film until theaters could properly open, I think it's great that the holidays can give us one big blockbuster film that everyone had been waiting for.

Catch Wonder Woman 1984 when it comes out December 25 in theaters and on HBO Max.
