Robert Pattinson Wants Superman in The Batman But With A Twist

We already know that The Batman is set in a different universe from the DC Extended Universe. But is it possible for the Caped Crusader to come across another superhero in the film? Robert Pattinson has shared an interesting idea on how to introduce Superman in his movie but it will come with an unexpected twist!

It has already been confirmed that The Batman is not set in the DCEU which is also set to drop another project that will feature two other Batmen (that would be Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton in The Flash). Still, Robert Pattinson is open to the idea of rubbing elbows with the Justice League.

Pattinson recently spoke to Comicbook.com where he was asked if his character would play well with members of the Justice League. Interestingly, the Twilight star is optimistic about it although it would look strange in Matt Reeves' movie.

"I love the idea of trying to figure out how to make... We've been talking about how to get the fantastical elements because Matt's world, his take on it is so grounded, and I'm thinking like, 'How can you add...?'" Pattinson said. He then added that he had previously discussed the possibility.

"Like, we were talking the other day, like, 'Can you add Superman into it but he just doesn't have any powers? He's just a guy in a cape?'" Pattinson said. "He's just like, 'I'm Superman!' And they're like, 'So?'" Pattinson said.

That would be a strange thing to see but it sure is intriguing. For now, it's highly unlikely that Superman will swoop in and start a conversation with the Caped Crusader in The Batman but anything is possible.

The Batman will also star Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Colin Farrell, and Andy Serkis. The film will hit theaters on March 4, 2022.
