In an interview with ExtraTV at the premiere of his new Max series Downey’s Dream Cars, the MCU pioneer was asked about the possibility of him doing a Tropic Thunder sequel with Tom Cruise, another actor who has long been rumored to be one of Marvel's original choices to play Iron Man.

Naturally, the conversation would then take a Marvel route and the interviewer tried his best to get answers from RDJ regarding his future as Tony Stark. The actor dodged the question and jokingly told Cruise that he shouldn't play Iron Man in a potential fourth sequel. "Does he want to do that?"

He said: "Okay! Tom, don't take it! Don't take it!"

RDJ never gave fans a definitive answer about whether or not his MCU career is actually over so of course, there's always a chance that he could reprise his Iron Man role in the not-so-distant future.

Of course, with the whole Multiverse Saga leaving the door wide open for potential stories to be told, the idea of Tony Stark being brought back doesn't sound too farfetched when you think about it.

Meanwhile, all of your MCU favorites are available to stream on Disney+.
