The original six Avengers have developed a special bond outside the Marvel Cinematic Universe and despite some of them ending their respective tenures after Avengers: Endgame, it's quite evident that their friendship will stand the test of time.
In fact, five of the six actors (Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, and Scarlett Johansson.) share matching tattoos except for Mark Ruffalo.
Well, it turns out that Downey still has a score to settle with the Hulk actor for refusing to get inked.
Robert Downey Jr. Hilariously Berates Mark Ruffalo for Refusing to Get an Avengers Cast Tattoo
Participating in WIRED's Autocomplete interview with Oppenheimer director Christopher Nolan, the MCU pioneer was asked about his tattoos. According to Downey, he has a total of six with the most recent (and most notable one) being the Avengers tattoo he shares with co-stars Evans, Hemsworth, Renner, and Johansson.
For the uninitiated, the "original" MCU Avengers cast got inked on the day of Avengers: Infinity War's premiere but shockingly enough, Ruffalo refused to get one simply because he has a fear of needles.
In the interview, RDJ explains: "Scarlett got it first then Chris Evans got it, then I got it, then Jeremy Renner got it, then Chris Hemsworth got it even though he's a little tentative about it and seemed to overreact to the pain."
He then jokingly shared the reason behind Ruffalo not getting inked with a surprising F-bomb. "And then Mark Ruffalo said, 'I'm not getting that tattoo. I don't wanna be part of your Hollywood inside game,' to which I applauded him. F*ck you, Mark."

There's no denying that the original six Avengers cemented their legacy in the MCU and although they've parted ways, fans are still clamoring to see a reunion down the line. Whether or not that happens remains to be seen but with the franchise pulling off some multiversal shenanigans, it wouldn't hurt to see Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye, and Black Widow join forces again.
