The Reggae King's biopic depicts his marriage with his wife, Rita (played by Marvel's Lashana Lynch), however, did you know about Cindy Breakspeare?
While the life of Bob Marley has been previously covered in several documentaries, Bob Marley: One Love will lean more on the assassination attempt the legendary singer escaped from and his relationship with Cindy.
According to a fan who read Timothy White's biography, Catch a Fire: The Life of Bob Marley, Bob met his future wife Alpharita "Rita" Constantia Anderson when they joined The Wailers during their rehearsal.
Bob and Rita's love story began when the iconic musician relayed his feelings to her through his love letter. However, the biography shared little information about their relationship after that.
The two eventually got married on February 10, 1966, when Bob was 21 years old.
They are rumored to have had 11 children; 3 biological children, while the rest were adopted. The accurate number of their children remains a mystery to this day.
Although they stayed married until his last breath, Rita wasn't the only woman he had been romantically involved with.

Did Rita Marley and Cindy Breakspeare Know Each Other?
Bob's "romance" with Cindy Breakspeare began a year before she was crowned Miss World.
In a 2014 Bob Marley lecture, Cindy revealed she was not aware he was married until she gave birth to their son, Damian 'Jr. Gong.'
While their affair wasn't explicitly acknowledged, Cindy's recent birthday tribute to the late music icon cemented this speculation.
Despite Cindy's efforts to celebrate his birthday, fans of Marley found it highly disrespectful.
Ziggy Marley "clapped back" by posting about his mother, Rita, as "Bob's ride or die wife" and "an African Queen" while his sister Sharon added that their mother is the "Real Queen".
According to an interview with the Grammy award-winning singer on The Voice, Bob Marley "never really checked for girls" before his popularity.
"So I was very surprised when he started having all these women," Rita explained, "Because that wasn't him – that was not his lifestyle... That only came after fame, popularity, and stardom."
While she didn't say anything about "knowing" Cindy, the most that she said was she believed Bob "only had one love" and that the "other things were like a fling", otherwise known as a "sense of fantasy that comes with show business."
It remains to be seen how many more women Bob had an affair with, however, his upcoming biopic will be shedding light on that, as well.
