Star Wars fans might have come to love Rey (Daisy Ridley) ever since she first appeared in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, however, one of the biggest issues that fans and critics had with the Jakku Orphan was how much a "Mary Sue" she seemed with the sheer amount of power and skill she possessed despite the fact she had no training in the Force.

Though Star Wars: The Last Jedi tried to amend that by showing how Rey still needed to be trained by Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) on Ahch-To, Star Wars seems to continue to push the idea that Rey's just really a talented Force User. In fact, Rey might even be more talented then Luke and Anakin Skywalker.

Marvel just recently released Journey to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker – Allegiance #3, and according to a new report by CBR, Rey might actually have more power and skill than Luke and Anakin at a similar stage in their careers.

In the comic, fans get to see Rey accompanying General Organa (the late Carrie Fisher) on a mission to find new members of the Resistance on Moon Cala. Finding themselves in the middle of unrest, Rey uses her staff like she would use a boomerang, spinning it with the power of the Force. Rey shows off the skills that fans have seen from Anakin and Luke at the same point in their lives – the Jakku Orphan has a decent handle on her swordsmanship and her flips.

Could Rey be more than the daughter of two random junkers? Let's wait and see.

Marvel's Journey to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker – Allegiance# 4 is set to go on sale on October 30, 2019. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premieres December 20, 2019.
