The first trailer for the upcoming Bad Boys: Ride or Die, which will star Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, is now on Sony Pictures Entertainment’s YouTube channel and official X account.
Miami anti-drug cops Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett are back in the explosive new trailer for the fourth Bad Boys film - Bad Boys: Ride or Die. This time, they’re up against a deep conspiracy and no longer know who to trust.
The first trailer, which can be viewed on Sony Pictures Entertainment’s YouTube channel, reveals that both Lowrey and Burnett, played by Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, respectively, are now on the run following the death of Chief Conrad Howard of the Miami Police Department.
Both cops receive a video sent posthumously by the Chief, who had been framed as complacent to the workings of the drug cartels. Chief Howard has given the “Bad Boys” a mission from the grave - clear up his name and expose the lies.
This mission is more difficult than any they have encountered before. The late Howard implies that corruption has reached unknown levels, leaving the two protagonists with no clue about who to trust.
Now, the Bad Boys are on the run, pursued by agents of the government and other parties who would stop at nothing to silence them.
Bad Boys: Ride or Die is the direct sequel to Bad Boys for Life, which came out in theaters just before the lockdowns caused by the pandemic. Despite that setback, the third Bad Boys film, released 17 years after the second film, still made $426.5 million globally.
Both Will Smith and Martin Lawrence confirmed the production of the fourth film through a video posted on the latter’s Instagram account.
Directed by Adil & Bilall, Bad Boys: Ride or Die will hit theaters on June 7 this year.
