In 2017, to the surprise of many, director Zack Snyder left his post as the director for Justice League and from then on, Joss Whedon filled in his shoes to make way for the Justice League that we know of. Snyder's departure led to the questions of what really happened behind the curtain and why the director suddenly left.

After years of the fans campaigning for #ReleaseTheSnyderCut, to the victory of many, the four-hour movie was released on HBO Max in March 2021. After that, a new campaign came out, #RestoreTheSnyderVerse, calling on Warner Bros. to continue with the idea of Snyder for the future of the movie franchise. Still, the studio remained on their own track.

The promo released called Zack Snyder's Justice League as a "global phenomenon." It definitely is. It's not everyday films like this get the chance of seeing the light of day, a great example is the Ayer Cut of the Suicide Squad. There are many other films that don't get the chance Snyder Cut got and the clamor of fans standing firm on their side calling for the release of the picture the director originally has in mind.

Snyder's vision for the DCEU goes with the formation of Legion of Doom, of Batman being the one to sacrifice himself in order to save the world (yes, like Iron Man in Endgame), and Clark Kent accepting that Lois Lane and Bruce Wayne got a child and raising him who'd be the next Batman to follow the footsteps of his real dad. While that was some twisted turn of events, it's a great vision and many fans believe in Snyder.
