Record of Ragnarok will finally be having its anime adaptation and it will be on one of the largest streaming platforms there is, Netflix, which licensed the adaptation of the manga series. The production studio to translate the pages of the manga to the screens will be studio Graphinica.
Record of Ragnarok is a manga series created by Azychika, Shinya Umemura, and Takumi Fukui which has been in circulation since 2018. It follows the one-on-one battles between thirteen gods versus thirteen humans wherein the result would be the determining factor of the fate of humanity. Among the characters are, on the side of the humans, Jack the Ripper, Buddha, and Nikola Tesla, while on the side of the gods, there would be gods from the Roman, Norse, Egyptian, and Japanese mythologies.
Netflix recently dropped the trailer of the upcoming anime series which is just enough to tease the viewers of what they would be having with the anime adaptation. Record of Ragnarok is just one of the various titles that Netflix has lined up for this year's AnimeJapan 2021.
Along with the Record of Ragnarok, Netflix also confirmed the release date of another anime series, Eden, and such is considered to be "the first Netflix Japanese original anime." Eden follows a human girl who is raised in secret as the world is fully inhabited by artificially intelligent robots. Eden will be arriving on May 27, 2021, and it will be directed by the director of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Yasuhiro Ire.
Another title will be Yasuke which will be following the story of a great ronin and his journey to a life of peace while Japan is in a war between mechs and magic. Yasuke will be released on April 29.
Record of Ragnarok is set for a worldwide release on June 2021 via Netflix.
