Real Housewives of Potomac fans are now calling Mia Thornton a 'mean girl.' Based on what unfolded in the recent episode, here's why Mia turned viewers off.

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for Real Housewives of Potomac season 9, so proceed with caution.

Mia Spills the Tea on a Fishy Phone Call with Karen 2 Years Ago

The Real Housewives of Potomac season 9 episode 5 titled Blast From Everyone's Past aired on Sunday, November 3, where Mia spilled tea on a particular phone conversation she had with Karen Huger in 2021.

Mia revealed during the confessional that Karen 'accidentally called' her two years ago after their little drinking session.

As Karen was trying to tell the girls that she was not with her husband Ray at the time, Mia interjected with a conspicuous tone that she may know something that the group doesn't.

In this case, Mia claimed that Karen 'drunk dialed' her the next morning 'on her way home', which Karen did not appreciate, bringing her past back, especially about her DUI issue. Neither did the fans.

Fans are Not Digging the 'Mean Girl' Attitude From Mia's 'Snitching'

Taking a dig at Karen was not something fans were willing to ignore. If anything, they side-eyed Mia's decision in the fifth episode as the segment unveiled her true colors and ill intentions toward Mia's DUI.

For the uninitiated, Mia totaled her car in a high-speed accident back in March. She was charged with drunk driving along with six traffic violations.

Although the DUI had been a major part of Real Housewives of Potomac season 9, fans came to defend Mia saying that she didn't owe anyone any explanation.

Mia Thornton broke her silence on the DUI in a recent interview by claiming Karen is 'hard to defend or support' due to her 'lack of accountability.' To Mia, real friends should 'not deflect' and should 'hold them accountable.'
