Re: Zero – Starting Life In Another World, produced by White Fox, is a chart-topping Isekai anime based on a Shōnen light novel of the same name by Tappei Nagatsuki and Shin'ichirō Ōtsuka which follows the story of Subaru and his journey in the different world he got transported to.
Subaru Natsuki was on his way home from a grocery store where he gets magically transported to a world where he gets to re-live the same events which end in the same manner: him dying along with Satella who just helped her to get away with the group of thugs who beat him upon arriving at their world.
Re: Zero Season 2 is currently on its second part of its spilled-cour. A split-cour divides the series into two parts, ten to thirteen episodes for the first cour and the rest of the season for the second. In case you're wondering, Re: Zero Season 2 has 25 episodes in total, all in all, 50 episodes counting from the first season.

Episode 45 or Season 2 Episode 20 is entitled The Beginning of the Sanctuary and of Ruin which revolves around the origin story of the Sanctuary. Roswaal reveals the secrets of the Sanctuary and Subaru, Garfiel and Otto meet him. Subaru reveals that he knows the reason why the Sanctuary was built and that it wants him to surrender.
Roswaal further talks about the origin of the Sanctuary and how he met Echidna. Roswaal and Beatrice highlighted the importance of Echidna in their lives but while in the middle of doing so, it was interrupted when a man arrives.

The next episode will be circling around Emilia who will relive her past as the viewers will be given the reason why the Witch Cult is after her. Pandora recently revealed in Episode 44 that Emilia is the key to unlock the seal in Elior Forest and wants to open the seal so no one will get hurt.
