The Fantastic Four star Ralph Ineson already made his MCU appearance in the past prior to his casting as Galactus in the upcoming film.

Yesterday, we learned the exciting news that The Green Knight actor had been cast to play Galactus in the MCU film.

While Ineson is not a widely recognizable actor, it is still a promising casting for fans since he has proven in his film and TV work that he is a talented actor and capable of playing a good villain.

Prior to his casting as Galactus in The Fantastic Four, Ineson already made his MCU appearance in the past.

The actor made his MCU debut in the first Guardians of the Galaxy film. He played the minor role of a Ravager pilot (you can see him on the right side of the photo above).

Given that Ineson had a very small role in his past MCU appearance, his upcoming role of Galactus shouldn't create any confusion among the audience when he shows up on screen in The Fantastic Four.

Playing the role of Galactus also requires a lot of costume work (if done practically) which would result in Ineson being unrecognizable. It also applies if it ends up being a motion-capture performance.

It's also not the first time that Marvel Studios has cast the same actor for multiple roles with Gemma Chan being the famous example as she played Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel (where she appears in heavy alien make-up) and Sersi in Eternals (where she is human-looking).

It is pretty clear that Ineson's past MCU appearance did not hinder any chance for him to get cast as Galactus, especially with the circumstance that his Guardians of the Galaxy role was not prominent.

The Fantastic Four is scheduled for release in theaters on July 26, 2025.
