The ending of the highly-rated K-Drama, Queen of Tears, caused avid fans to experience a whirlwind of emotions. This is particularly true with its Queen of Tears 2074 time jump scene. So what happened in this scene?

How Did Queen of Tears End?
After a series of events that never seemed to end, the Hong family finally got the justice they needed.
The court was able to gain evidence of Moh Seul-Hee's (played by Lee Mi-Sook) treachery and Yoon Eun-Sung (played by Park Sung-Hoon) was killed.
With things finally returning to normal, we can't help but wonder what happened to the protagonists.
For starters, Hong Hae-In (played by Kim Ji-Won) and Baek Hyun-Woo (played by Kim Soo-Hyun) took things slow. They eventually got back together and raised a daughter. It was unclear whether they moved to Germany or frequently visited the country.
Cheon Da-Hye (played by Lee Joo-Bin) finally got released from prison with her husband and toddler waiting for her. The family reunited with Hong Soo-Cheol (played by Kwak Dong-Yeon) inviting Grace Go (played by Kim Joo-Ryung) to join them for dinner.
The Baeks and Hongs are closer than ever and often go on picnics together. Meanwhile, Hong Beom-Ja (played by Kim Jung-Nan) found a new romance in Yeong-Song (played by Kim Young-Min).

What Happened in 2074 in Queen of Tears?
In the time jump scene, we see an older man walking towards a tombstone with a bouquet of flowers. It is revealed that Hae-In had died in 2074 and chose to be buried in Germany, as she mentioned during their honeymoon.
It turned out that the old man that Hae-In previously saw was an older Hyun-Woo visiting her grave.
Later, the old man is seen walking in a field of flowers. The man turns into the younger Hyun-Woo and is greeted by his wife, a vision of an angel in white. Hae-In stretches out her hand toward Hyun-Woo and they walk together.
This signified that the two had died and Hae-In came to accompany Hyun-Woo. Despite this, it still indicated that the two had a happy ending, where they were able to live 50 years together.
