Queen Elizabeth was targeted by a GB News senior reporter for her parenting skills. Benjamin Butterworth criticized Her Majesty for her children's behavior as they discussed Prince Charles' leadership and the recent controversy about his charity.

GB News reporter Dan Wootton was joined by other journalists, including Benjamin Butterworth, as they discussed whether Prince Charles was fit to be a king. The discussion came after reports that the Prince of Wales' charities is being investigated by the Charity Commission after receiving millions of euros in cash from a former Qatari Prime Minister, according to The Sunday Times.

Butterworth said there was a "lack of control" over the heir apparent and his criticism led to the 96-year-old British monarch's parenting.

"What this shows is a complete lack of judgment but it also reveals the power and lack of control that there is over him," he said, as quoted by Express. "And I think that's what's most dangerous."

Wootton commented that "No one tells him he's wrong," to which Butterworth agreed.

"Precisely and clearly even the Queen either doesn't bother or isn't listened to as I'm sure she doesn't like any of these things," Butterworth said. "And Carol just mentioned how the late Prince Philip kept telling him to stop this. But I'm afraid you have to look at this and I end up looking at what did the Queen do as a mother? Because so many of her kids have turned out as spoiled brats."

Dan Wootton Defends Queen Elizabeth

When Butterworth targeted the British monarch, Wootton immediately defended Her Majesty, who just celebrated her Platinum Jubilee earlier this month. For Wootton, Butterworth was wrong to blame the Queen for her children's behavior.

"Are you serious? This is actually despicable of you to blame the Queen for this and it says a lot about you," Wootton responded. "Because she is a brilliant woman who has done so much for this country and who led her children by example. I'm sorry Benjamin to blame the Queen for this is wrong."

The Kiwi journalist continued, "Princess Anne, Prince Edward, she's provided great leadership to Prince William. Yeah, Prince Harry got it wrong. Prince Andrew got it wrong and you're blaming the mother. Why do you bash the Queen all the time?"

The two journalists argued about their opposing opinion about the Queen. Butterworth insisted that if they were talking about the council estate, Wootton would probably ask what did the parents do wrong. He added that the royal family should have "better moral judgment [and] better guidance" because they are not a normal family.

"With a 70-year-old blaming the 96-year-old parent. You've lost the plot," Wootton replied.
