Prince William's Parenting Style More Similar To Princess Diana, Not The Older Generation Royals?
But the earlier generations of royals did not experience what it was like to be looked after by at least one or two parents. When Queen Elizabeth had Prince Charles and Princess Anne, her schedule was very tight, so she only saw her children twice during their daily meetings, according to Cheat Sheet.
And when she had Prince Andrew and Prince Edward, the queen had a bit more time on her hands. But it was still not enough because she was busy being the British monarch that she left her younger kids with their nanny.
But it was Princess Diana who changed the parenting game within the royal family. And when Prince William became a parent himself, he made sure to take cues from his later mother while also employing his own parenting style with the help of Kate Middleton.

Prince William Reportedly Called A 'Modern Dad'
As a result, Prince William has been dubbed a modern dad because, despite his busy schedule, he makes it a point to send his kids to school. And on one occasion, he hilariously revealed that he also tried to style Princess Charlotte's hair.
For some, tying someone's hair in a ponytail might sound easy but not for Prince William because he has never done it before he had his only daughter.
Prince William Called Styling Princess Charlotte's Hair Into A Ponytail A' Nightmare?'
According to People, the Prince of Wales shared the news with another father that he encountered at a park. The two men got to talk about their daughters, and the other dad said that he learned how to style his daughter's hair with the help of YouTube.
Prince William told the man that he should never attempt to do a ponytail because it's a nightmare before Middleton chimed in to ask if he's ever done braids. Obviously, the latter is more difficult to style.
"I can do [Charlotte's] ponytail, but that's about it, as I don't have enough hair to practice on!" Prince William said.
Other than styling Princess Charlotte's hair, Prince William and Middleton have also inspired other parents with one parenting technique. Oftentimes, the royal couple is photographed bending to the level or height of their kids while talking to them.
The Princess Diaries star Anne Hathaway previously revealed that she also started doing the same parenting technique to her son after learning it from Prince William and Middleton.
