Prince William and his entire family have been dubbed as the future of the British monarchy.
Even though he’s second in line to the throne, royal fans are already clamoring for the Duke of Cambridge to bypass Prince Charles to the throne.
Prince William is also regarded as one of the most popular members of the royal family. So, most of his fans are impressed with what he does and what he says.
Prior to becoming a full-time senior working royal, the Duke of Cambridge worked with the air ambulance service. Just days before he resigned from the job, the dad of three helped save a young boy’s life.
“There are things in life you don’t want to see. Inside, I felt something had changed. It really hit me weeks later. It was like someone put a key in a lock and opened it without me giving permission. I felt like the whole world was dying. You just feel like everyone’s in pain, everyone’s suffering. I’ve never felt that before,” Prince William said.
At the time, there were reports suggesting that Prince William quit his job because of how it affected his mental health.
Prince William Admitted That He Has Depression
Globe, in its Dec. 27 issue, claimed that Prince William’s traumatic experience while on the job is something that he’s still dealing with today. In fact, he recently told the royal family that he suffers from depression.
“Prince William hid his mental illness from the palace and now Queen Elizabeth’s inner circle is terrified he’ll be unable to rule when his time comes,” an unnamed source said.
The unnamed source added that it was only recently that the reports regarding Prince William’s mental health struggles were confirmed.
“The gossip was right and William has now confirmed it. His public admission that he’s still suffering has rocked the palace,” the unnamed source claimed.
Princess Diana’s Death Took Its Toll On Prince William
Other than his work as ambulance staff, Prince William also had to deal with the death of Princess Diana when he was just a teenager.
“William publicly called losing his mom a pain like no other pain. Harry said he was close to a mental breakdown after shutting down his emotions for two decades. The palace hoped that was the end of their mental health confessions. But earlier this year, Harry accused his family of refusing to help his wife, Meghan Markle when she was suicidal, and now comes William’s bombshell admission,” the unnamed source said.
Queen Elizabeth Upset That Prince William Opened Up About His Depression
Queen Elizabeth is allegedly furious because of all the mental health revelations being made by the royal family. And the monarch is not also used to the members of the royal family complaining and speaking up because she’s known for having a stiff upper lip.
“Her mantra is 'never complain, never explain.' She believes these issues should be handled within the family. She’s aware mental illness runs in the family like ‘madman’ King George III, Queen Victoria, who locked herself away, and many more. She doesn’t need her grandsons drawing attention to it when the monarchy is in crisis,” the unnamed source claimed.
The queen allegedly wanted Prince William to be the royal lifesaver because she knows she doesn’t have long to live. The monarch also knows that royal fans do not want Prince Charles to be king so there’s a lot riding on the Duke of Cambridge’s shoulders.
Prince William May No Longer Be King
However, Prince William’s recent revelation that he’s suffering from depression allegedly backfired. After all, royal fans couldn’t help but question whether he’s ready to be king or not.
It is important to note that Prince William has not been diagnosed with depression. And Kate Middleton’s husband never said that he’s feeling depressed despite all the struggles that he experienced while working with the air ambulance service.
Prince William Passionate About Mental Health
Prince William is big on mental health. In fact, it is one of the main focuses of his charity. He previously launched Shout, a text message service for people in crisis in the United Kingdom, Crisis Text Line, its counterpart in the United States, and Lifeline, which is the text message service in Australia, according to Town & Country.
During a recent interview, the dad of three said that it’s important to acknowledge and work on one’s mental fitness. But his dedication in dealing with and combating mental health issues doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s depressed.
