Prince Charles and Prince Harry’s relationship has always been complicated. In fact, after he was born, the future king already made some shocking comments after realizing that his son was a redhead. Prince Charles didn’t also seem thrilled to know that his second child was a boy because he already has a son, Prince William.
Over the years, Prince Charles and Prince Harry have always shown the public a united front. That is until the Duke of Sussex met Meghan Markle and fell in love. Shortly after the Sussexes tied the knot, Prince Harry and Markle had several misunderstandings with the royal family, including Prince Charles.
During their interview with Oprah Winfrey last year, Prince Harry and Markle claimed that Prince Charles cut them off financially after they decided to quit The Firm. They also claimed that one member of the royal family had concerns about Archie’s skin color, and this was later revealed to be Prince Charles.
Earlier this month, Prince Harry filed a legal complaint against the Home Office regarding their decision to not allow him to pay for his own security when he’s in the United Kingdom. It’s still unclear how the complaint will be addressed, but Prince Harry’s legal team said that this is one of the things that has been preventing the Duke of Sussex from reuniting with his family.
Prince Charles Wants Prince Harry, Meghan Markle To Stay At Clarence House When They Visit
Now, a source told Mirror UK that all this could change because of Prince Charles. The heir to the throne reportedly offered his home to Prince Harry, Markle, and their children when they visit the United Kingdom.
“The Prince of Wales has been saddened that he hasn't had the opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren, which he really does miss. He is a fantastic grandfather and loves playing the role immensely and it's certainly fair to say he feels there is something missing from his life without the ability to get to know Harry's children,” the source said.
If Prince Harry and Markle would take Prince Charles on his generous offer, this means that they would stay at Clarence House with the future king and Camilla Parker Bowles while they are in the United Kingdom.
“This is something he is hoping to remedy which is why he made the gesture for Harry, Meghan, and the children to stay with him if they wanted to, whenever they may come home for a period of time. In the meantime there has been a series of good-natured and enjoyable calls between them all which is something the prince very much looks forward to,” the source said.
Prince Charles, Prince Harry Slowly Repairing Their Relationship
The source also said that Prince Charles and Prince Harry have been in contact with each other in recent months. And despite all their differences, there’s no denying the fact that the father and son love each other deeply.
“He loves him very much, as he does both his children, and he looks forward to them being able to spend time together in the near future,” the source concluded.
Another insider spoke with The Sun and gave an update about Prince Charles and Prince Harry’s relationship. The insider said that things are improving between the two men.
“It has been suggested to Harry he may live to regret any lingering family bitterness, and he has taken that on board. There is a feeling he is coming back more into the fold and wants to be closer to his family,” the insider said.

Prince Harry Could Reunite With Prince Charles In April, June
In his column for Closer UK, royal biographer Duncan Larcombe also said that Prince Harry could return to the United Kingdom in April ahead of the Invictus Games.
It’s highly likely for Markle to not join him during his trip, but the Duchess of Sussex could attend Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee two months later.
