"It’s never been more of a relief to be away from the royal spotlight," the tipster said. "Of course, Meghan and Harry are following the feeding frenzy over ‘dirty cash’ and are relieved that they’re not in the firing line for a change."

The tipster was referring to the questionable donation allegedly made to Prince Charles' charity. The issues became a hot topic with many talking about it, shifting the focus from the Sussexes to the new royal scandal.

"Meghan, in particular, is so happy to be back in LA and away from all that toxicity," the source continued. "They’ve been front and centre of so many negative reports these past few years – it’s been very difficult for them to live with."

"Neither Harry nor Meghan take pleasure in seeing the monarchy in this type of trouble but they’re so grateful focus has finally shifted away from them. It feels like validation at long last that they’re better off away from the royal family."

Prince Charles Hit With Charity Scandal

The Prince of Wales had slowly gained the public's approval after he admitted his affair with Camilla Parker Bowles. However, royal biographer Omid Scobie felt that he tarnished his reputation after the recent controversy that plagued him.

Prince Charles' charity allegedly accepted €3 million in cash, including €1 million stuffed into a suitcase, from a Qatari politician. There is no suggestion that the cash payments were illegal and were deposited into his Charitable Fund.

However, the Finding Freedom co-author said the scandal believed that Prince Charles blew his chance to win the public and repair his reputation due to the questionable donation.

"The incidents demonstrate a total lack of awareness of the way in which such deals were done," Scobie wrote on Yahoo! News. "How can a senior royal believe accepting a suitcase of cash is a sensible way to fund a charity."

The Clarence House spokesman released a statement to address the issue.

"Charitable donations received from Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim were passed immediately to one of the Prince’s charities who carried out the appropriate governance and have assured us that all the correct processes were followed," the spokesman said per Daily Star.
