Now that we know MCU Spider-Man 3 is happening, fans can start speculating about Peter's future and, most importantly, if Mysterio is still alive. Spoilers for all three of you who haven't seen Spider-Man: Far From Home but Mysterio is seemingly killed by a bullet that ricocheted from one of his drones. However, the film's post-credits sequence showed a scene that had Mysterio out Peter Parker as Spider-Man, which blew everyone's mind.
Well, thanks to an observant fan on Reddit, it looks like there's a very good chance that Mysterio is alive. As can be seen below, his team of thieves and illusionists CGI'd his suit in the news feed, something that wasn't apparent in the film's climax. This means that they would have needed some time to film Mysterio's "last words," which likely happened after Peter left.
Not sure if this has been discussed before, but Mysterio's team specifically CGied his suit in for the news. Plus Mysterio never had time to record a video leaking Peter's identity, he'd had to have done it after he faked his death!

It's also worth noting that Peter asked E.D.I.T.H. if everything he saw was real but didn't ask the A.I. if Mysterio was dead. So, Mysterio laying there was real but that doesn't mean he's dead. We're sure that some fans will point out that they filmed this before Mysterio's confrontation with Spider-Man but that's an argument for another day.
Personally, I hope Mysterio is still alive so that he can raise some hell for Peter in the next sequel. Whether we get another villain or not is hard to say, though it would be nice to see someone like Kraven the Hunter. Also, please make Matt Murdock (Daredevil) or Jennifer Walters (She-Hulk) his lawyer.
MCU Spider-Man 3 is coming out on July 16, 2021. Spider-Man: Far From Home is now available on digital services and Blu-Ray on October 1.
