What Happened to Poppy Harlow from CNN's This Morning Show?

The shakeup doesn't come as a surprise. CNN revealed its plans to change its programs in early February.

More specifically, the Warner Bros. Discovery-based cable network plans to shake up its entire morning schedule. Allegedly, this is their way of dealing with the poor ratings brought in by such shows.

The reports reveal that CNN This Morning will be scrapped from the network's morning roster. To make up for that extra hour, Kasie Hunt's Early Start program will now run from 5 AM to 7 AM.

The show will then be followed by CNN News Central with John Berman, Sara Sidner, and Kate Bolduan. After the 10 AM time slot, Jim Acosta and Pamela Brown will take over the program until 11 AM.

CNN This Morning hosts, Poppy Harlow and Phil Mattingly, gave their sign-off message on February 23, 2024. They also thanked the crew for all their hard work over the years.

So is Poppy Harlow leaving CNN along with Phil Mattingly? In a news report, it was revealed that the two co-anchors of CNN This Morning will be reassigned to a different program.

As of this writing, however, CNN has not yet announced the new roles of Harlow and Mattingly. In a report, Mattingly shared that he will continue to have a New York-based role, especially since he moved his large family to the Big City for the assignment.

As for Harlow, the report says the anchor is still in talks with the network.

Meanwhile, the 50-person staff of the program has been asked to reapply for jobs. In a note sent to the staff, CNN's new CEO Mark Thompson wrote:
