Pokemon Sword and Shield Preload Comes with Some New Information

Pokemon Sword and Shield are set to hit the Nintendo Switch in a couple of weeks and fans are searching everywhere they can for information. Game Freak has been noticeably quiet about the latest installment in the long-running franchise, not even showing the evolution forms of the three starters. Well, the two games can now be pre-loaded in certain countries and fans have been able to find some new information, albeit not anything too groundbreaking.

First, there won't be any touchscreen controls. This isn't a deal-breaker or anything like that but considering how many Switch games have included them, it's pretty shocking to know that Sword and Shield won't have them. The two games will also be 10GB, which is pretty big for two Nintendo Switch exclusives but not too big when compared to Breath of the Wild, which is 13.4 GB.

Those that are hoping there will be Sword and Shield cloud save transferring will also be pretty sad. It seems like Switch owners should just be careful with their current models or maybe even transfer all of their data on a newer model they purchase, like the Switch Lite or the recently improved Switch model.

Hopefully, the two games blow us away since so little has been released. You could argue that the lack of information has made us look forward to the two games since so much of it is a mystery. Granted, people still want the National Pokedex back but let's not bring that up.

Pokemon Sword and Shield will be coming out on November 15.
