Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back - Evolution Gets Gorgeous New Trailer That’s Heavy on Spoilers

It's been a while since we last heard any news about Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back - Evolution, a CGI remake of the very first Pokemon film. That has all changed now since The Pokemon Company has released a brand-new trailer for the upcoming film, with Rita Ora's Let You Love Me playing throughout the scenes show. Fans are probably still divided over the film now being CGI but the animation throughout is actually pretty good so that should be less of a problem when the film comes out.

What is problematic however is that the trailer is chock-full of spoilers. If you haven't seen Pokemon The First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back and are excited about this CGI remake then you should avoid this at all cost. Seriously, it even shows moments from the film's climax, which is just weird.

Judging from the spoiler-filled trailer, it seems like The Pokemon Company is expecting to draw the nostalgia crowd for this flick. This isn't too surprising since Disney has also done this with a number of their live-action remakes, showing off some big scenes from the original animated specials but with real people.

Still, spoilers suck and these companies should at least consider the fact that newer fans may want to go in spoiler-free. At the least, they should also make older fans think that some big changes could be made but the trailer basically confirms that this will follow the same story of the original film.

Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back - Evolution comes out later this month.
