He then played the lead role of Lance Corporal Will Jensen in Strike Back Season 6. This helped the then-starting star land more substantial TV roles.
Come 2018, he played three recurring roles in Save Me, Humans and No Offence. After a year, he made the miniseries Catherine the Great, opposite Helen Mirren.

The year 2020 proved to be another big year for him after starting doing the three-part miniseries Dracula, followed by the dramedy series The Trouble with Maggie Cole.
His biggest role then came with the Apple TV+ sports dramedy series Ted Lasso, which turned out to be an Emmy Award-winning show and earned him the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

Aside from having a successful TV career, Phil Dunster is also making a name on the big screen. He has several movie credits that begin with his 2013 debut movie, A Film-Maker’s Son.
He was then seen as Dickie Baker in the biographical crime movie The Rise of the Krays in 2015, reprising his role in The Fall of the Krays in 2016.

It looked like Phil Dunster was being lined in doing biographical movies as his next project was Judy, about the life of the actress Judy Garland, played by Renée Zellweger, in 2019. It was followed by the crime thriller The Good Liar.
