Pedro Pascal Dodges Question About Rumored Fantastic Four Casting

It's hard to believe that it's been nearly four years since Marvel Studios officially confirmed that a Fantastic Four reboot is on its way but what's more baffling is that we've barely received any updates regarding the film, apart from the rumors that have been swirling across social media.

If you've been following the rumor mill, you're well aware that Pedro Pascal of The Mandalorian and The Last of Us fame is heavily rumored to have been cast as Reed Richards aka Mister Fantastic in the project.

Just recently, all signs seemed to have pointed to Pascal being locked in for the part, with director Matt Shakman confirming his involvement in a now-deleted Instagram post. Well, it looks like the actor himself isn't ready to confirm anything.

Fantastic Four: Pedro Pascal Expertly Dodges Question About Rumored Reed Richards Casting

Pascal was recently interviewed by the SAG-AFTRA Foundation and when asked about the Mister Fantastic rumors, the Chilean actor played coy about his role. Instead of answering it directly, he said: "You said this was a 90-minute interview... it's well past 90 minutes."

A recent SAG-AFTRA listing, which has also been taken down all but confirmed that Pascal will indeed play the "Smartest Man Alive" in the MCU so it's quite intriguing how Pascal is trying to dodge questions about it when practically the whole world knows that he's in it.

Then again, the official announcement should come from Marvel Studios so it isn't all that surprising how the people involved in the project are trying to keep everything under wraps as much as they could.

Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four reboot is slated for release in theaters on May 2, 2025.
