Peacemaker Star Robert Patrick is Hopeful for White Dragon's Return in Season 2

James Gunn's Peacemaker series surprisingly had a triumphant viewership record on the streaming service, HBO Max. Despite being the most hated character in 2021's The Suicide Squad, Christopher Smith (John Cena) was given a chance to redeem himself as a hero, after being recruited by Murn (Chukwudi Iwuji) in a black op named Project Butterfly. As the series progresses, Smith had to face off against his father, Augie Smith in his White Dragon suit who appears to be a threat to the titular character's whole narrative.

Even though White Dragon suffered a tragic demise in Peacemaker Season 1, Robert Patrick is still hopeful about his return, especially after the show was officially renewed for a second season.

In an interview with Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum, Peacemaker star Robert Patrick discussed his possible return in Season 2. Although he didn't directly disclose his comeback, he revealed an awesome idea on how his character, White Dragon, could bizarrely return.

"Hopefully I get to work, because I am dead. To be honest with you, I think this could be the funniest f–king stuff ever, with the dad as the ghost," he said. "In my own mind I’m trying to think of the scenarios James is gonna come up with, and there’s a lot he could do. It’s unlimited, because I’m a f–king ghost, dude!”

Although Patrick's idea seems odd, it could still happen in the second season of the show. Peacemaker serves as a redemption arc for Christopher Smith but also intended to explain why he adopted such a disturbing outlook that's all rooted in his upbringing, mainly caused by his emotionally abusive father. If ever the White Dragon returns for the second season, Gunn might consider Patrick's idea to cause more internal dilemmas for the titular character.

For now, James Gunn has already greenlit Peacemaker Season 2 but hasn't yet announced if the whole crew will return that might include Patrick's White Dragon.

Peacemaker is available to stream on HBO Max, while Season 2 is still under development.
