Arrow is already on its eighth season and it will be the final one for the show that started the entire Arrowverse. However, before we get to witness the epic conclusion to Oliver Queen's story, a familiar face will be brought back to the show.

According to TVLine, Paul Blackthorne, who was last seen in the sixth season, will be making an appearance in some episodes of the season as a final farewell. If you recall, Blackthorne's character, Quentin Lance, unfortunately, died in Season 6 when he tried to save his daughter's doppelganger by jumping and taking the bullet.

And while he's coming back to the show, there's no telling how The CW Network plans to bring back Quentin Lance's character considering that his death was shown as somewhat definite and conclusive of his run at the time. Regardless, it's nice to see another familiar face back in the last season to make one final goodbye to the loyal fans of the show.

Since Emily Bett Rickards is also confirmed to return as Felicity Smoak, it looks like producer Marc Guggenheim is teasing that fans will get to find out more about "old friends returning in the coming weeks."

Amell is expected to return in the upcoming Arrowverse crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths which is set to start with Supergirl on December 8. The whole event will then end on January 14 with Arrow and DC's Legends of Tomorrow.

Arrow Season 8 premieres every Tuesday on The CW Network.
