Part Of Phase 5 Of The MCU Reportedly Revealed

Marvel brought the big guns when it headed down to Hall H during this year's San Diego Comic-Con last month, however, while the studio laid out all of its plans for Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it didn't reveal much for Phase 5.

Now it looks like Marvel's plans for Phase 5 of the MCU may have found its way online. Charles Murphy, a Marvel leaker who had revealed a few details about Shang-Chi's cast list that was spot on, just recently revealed a few more Marvel release dates on Twitter.

The first date is for Black Panther 2 on February 18, 2022. The second date is for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which is reportedly set on May 6, 2022. Then there are two mystery dates without any films – July 29, 2022, and then May 3 or 10 2024. Marvel just recently announced a Blade reboot starring Academy Award-winning actor Mahershala Ali, so maybe one of those dates belong to the project.

While these release dates have yet to be confirmed, it doesn't come as a surprise to see Marvel planning Black Panther 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3. The first Black Panther movie was groundbreaking – not only was it the first standalone film for T'Chala (Chadwick Boseman), but it was also Marvel's first film with a predominantly black cast. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3's release date barely comes as a surprise too – fans have been clamoring for the film ever since James Gunn was mired in controversy last year.

Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe begins with Black Widow on May 1, 2020.
