November is almost at an end, and the release date for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker draws nearer and nearer. A new spot has just been released, and we have our first listen at the Duel of the Fates in the Sequel Trilogy as well as a new line from Palpatine.

We've heard Palpatine say a lot of ominous things, but here he says, "This will be the final word in the story of Skywalker." It's pretty interesting to think who he could be saying this line to. Is he saying it to Leia, or has Rey assumed the Skywalker mantle herself?

Besides that, we get the return of Duel of the Fates. Just in case you didn't know, DoF is probably one of the most iconic themes to come out of the Prequels, and it's the same theme that plays right before the Jedi have their fight with Darth Maul. It's pretty interesting to see it used for this promo, and I'm kind of hoping it finds its way into The Rise of Skywalker. So far, I don't think there's been a theme associated to Rey and Kylo fighting, and there should be, counting that both of them are champions of the Light and Dark.

For now, The Rise of Skywalker is playing a very tricky game of getting everyone excited for the film without showing too much. Admittedly we can barely piece anything together from what we get in the trailers, but I'm hopeful we get something fantastic in the final film.

Catch Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in theaters Dec. 20.
