Not every actor in Hollywood is given a second chance to redeem themselves after being involved in "awful" projects so it doesn't come as a surprise how Oscar Isaac quickly jumped the gun when Marvel Studios came knocking on his door and asked him to star in Moon Knight. Of course, a lot of you are aware that this won't be the Dune star's first rodeo in the world of superheroes as he previously starred in the X-Men franchise as the iconic Marvel villain Apocalypse.
That one didn't turn out well but despite that, Oscar is still making his grand Marvel homecoming in the upcoming Disney+ series which is currently in production. It's still a little too early to say how Moon Knight fares but I'm pretty sure it'll be night and day compared to his short-lived performance in the now-defunct FoxVerse. The Star Wars actor recently caught up with Total Film where he was asked why he accepted the role of Marc Spector following his disastrous X-Men: Apocalypse experience.
Oscar explained: 'It's not so much about the genre of things. It's the people. And is there room to do something interesting in it? And sometimes there is, and you think there will be. And sometimes it turns out there isn't. So with this – I love the people involved."

Failing in a superhero/comic book franchise, or any project for that matter can be quite traumatic for some actors but thankfully, Isaac was open to the idea of returning to the genre. Honestly, there's no reason why he shouldn't take the role because at this point, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is already an unstoppable force in Hollywood and it seems like any actor would kill for the opportunity to become part of it. Oscar definitely made a wise career decision that he probably will not regret in the long run.
