At the close of episode 3, we led into the confession festival only for our main character to be shot down by Shida. Unfortunately for him, his problems are about to get a hundred times worse because not only does Shida and Kachi blame each other for what happened, but a girl from his past is about to make a grand return and claim that he is her first love.

Judging by the lack of responses on anime tracking sites and its official home on Crunchyroll, it seems that most people feel largely the same about Osamake at this point; it's just kind of a blah series that has failed to really capture the imaginations of viewers, which is a bit of a shame. I mean, not every series can be a colossal mega-hit, but you always have to feel bad about the series that fail to find their audience right away. While some of them find new life once they are released on home video (see: The Devil is a Part-Timer), most of them end up shriveling up and dying slow deaths in the memories of fans and become nothing more than footnotes in history and are only brought up in those odd trivia games.
