In episode one, it has been revealed that Musashi made a promise to Kojirou Kanemaki, his friend, that when they grew up, they would become samurai and fight demons. But now, it seemed that the promise would be hard to fulfill as the demons are praised by society.
Samurai are considered taboo and are disgraced. To survive, Musashi must blend into society and work as a miner. He hid his training to improve his swordsmanship. His friend, Kojirou, decided to give up their promise. This changed when he saved Musashi from a near-death experience. The two then decided to continue their promise and planned to restore the image of the samurai.
Orient Episode 2 Details
Entitled “Bushi’s Pride”, Orient episode two will be available on January 13, 2022 on AT-X and TV Tokyo. Medialink acquired a license over the series to release it in South Asia and Southeast Asia and the episodes will be available on Ani-One Youtube Channel, Animax Asia, and iQIYI. For those residing outside of Asia, they can stream episode two on Crunchyroll.
The streaming site has a free trial period for those who are new to the site. During this period, non-members can watch Orient and other titles for free. Viewers also have an option to become members of the platform. All they need to do is register and pay $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year. As members, they can enjoy watching Orient without ads and even have simulcasts one hour after Japan. They also have access to the site’s manga and anime libraries and do offline viewing.
The episodes come with English subtitles for western audiences. Those who prefer to watch in English dub will have to wait for Crunchyroll’s announcement regarding this. The platform is known to release dubbed versions of anime so it would not be a surprise if Orient will have one. It will take some time though so fans will have to settle with the subtitles for now.
