Steve Martin has dropped a bombshell for fans eagerly awaiting Hulu's Only Murders in the Building Season 3.

During his recent, You Won't Believe What They Look Like Today! comedy tour, Martin let slip the release date for the much-anticipated Season 3 of the hit series.

Only Murders in the Building debuted in 2021 as a mystery comedy-drama series that follows three true-crime podcast fans and neighbors who start their own podcast while trying to solve a murder in their apartment building. The series has an all-star cast, including Steve Martin, Selena Gomez, and Martin Short.

According to Variety, Martin revealed the release date for Season 3 during his comedy tour alongside Martin Short. While sharing pictures of their fellow Only Murders in the Building cast members, Martin casually mentioned that fans should "Catch the new season August 8."

This confirmation means that fans only have a few more months to wait before they can join the trio of podcasters as they try to solve another murder.

Season 2 ended with a one-year time jump and the murder of an actor, played by Paul Rudd. This set up Season 3 to follow Oliver (Short) and his friends and fellow podcasters Charles-Haden (Martin) and Mabel (Gomez) as they try to solve their first case outside the confines of their apartment building.
