Chapter 1,024 of One Piece continues to show the current situation in various areas in Onigashima. We also get a flashback from Yamato's childhood, alongside a sneak peek of three samurai, who will probably be relevant in exploring more about Wano's backstory. Not just that, but possibly even Zoro's backstory as well!
One Piece Chapter 1,024 Recap
Many are still affected by Big Mom's Haki on the second floor even though she's somewhere else fighting. Usopp uses this opportunity to his advantage. The Straw Hats attempt to check up on Momonosuke and the others. Franky tells Nami to head down because it seems like the enemies are all going to the Performance Floor. He tells the Heart Pirates to defend the area because that's where Zoro and Sanji are fighting King and Queen.
Meanwhile, on the third floor, Brook is running away with an unconscious Robin in his arms. The floor is currently being engulfed by flames. Brook warns Jinbei about it. The rest of the samurai, such as Kawamatsu, are also defending the performance floor. The fight between Yamato and Kaido continues. Kaido says that they're not having a mere family fight. He says that if Yamato wants to admire Oden, then Yamato must be ready for a war.
The chapter then flashbacks to a memory from Yamato's childhood, who was called Ogre Princess. During this time, Yamato was already claiming to be Oden. It's shown that Yamato also has Conqueror's Haki. Kaido leaves Yamato in a cave, locked up with other samurai. He also leaves a meal for one person and a bunch of weapons. Yamato thinks that the samurai must hate and want to kill him for being the son of Kaido.
The samurai offer the meal to Yamato. For ten days, Yamato and the samurai bond over reading Oden's travel log. It looks like Kaido is intent on killing Yamato. Yamato says that in the awaited battle 20 years in the future, he'll fight on Wano's side. For the sake of that future, the samurai escape ensuring that Yamato lives. Back in the present, the two unleash an attack on each other that causes black sparks to appear, showing a clash between two Conqueror's Haki users.

One Piece Chapter 1,025 Spoilers, Summary
Momonosuke is having a hard time flying properly due to his fear of heights. Since he's flying with his eyes shut, he couldn't land on the roof directly. He flies around the whole of Onigashima to get to the top, where Kaido and Yamato are still fighting.
Luffy joins the fight and attacks using Gear Four. Yamato attacks Kaido at the same time. It seems like we're going to see new attacks from Yamato. Kaido and Momo look at each other in their dragon forms. In response to Kaido asking who he is, Luffy says he's the one who will become the King of the Pirates, while Momo says he's the one who will become Wano's next shogun.
