Olivia Cooke's sex scene in House of the Dragon season 2 was apparently far too 'messy' to include in the final cut for the HBO series.

Considering what the franchise is known for on-screen, this particular love-making clip was far too chaotic to be included in season 2. Check out what the Alicent Hightower actress had to say.

The premiere of House of the Dragon season 2 shows Alicent Hightower making love with Ser Criston Cole, establishing how close the two members of the Green faction have grown.

Sex scenes may be no stranger to the Game of Thrones franchise, however, there was one particular love scene that Olivia Cooke filmed that did not make the final cut because of how 'animalistic' and 'carnal' the sex was.

"It was messy as f*ck. It wasn't beautiful and that was really fun to do," Cooke recently shared, "I think Ryan [Condal, the showrunner] said we weren't learning any more about the characters, which I disagree with slightly, but it's okay. It's his show."

She even joked how fans could likely end up seeing it in the bloopers. Maybe.

Truth be told, Cooke was bracing herself for more bedroom scenes to expect in filming House of the Dragon season 2, which was surprisingly less than she anticipated.

"I thought there'd be way more, and so I'm relieved that when it has been used for me, it's showing Alicent being pleasured, which is amazing and doesn't feel gratuitous," Cooke added, "It feels like we're telling a story."

As of writing, there have been two sex scenes between Alicent and Criston and that's only counting the premiere episode. But who knows how much 'more' we can expect from the duo in the following weeks?
