Genie TV makes fans more excited by dropping a new Oh! Youngsim trailer ahead of the show’s premiere today, May 15.
The new series, based on the classic Korean cartoon Youngsim, follows two childhood friends, Oh Young Sim (Song Ha Yoon) and Wang Kyung Tae (Super Junior’s Donghae), who will meet each other again after two decades. By the looks of it, they will be the new characters viewers will soon love.

The new trailer gives a glimpse at the opening animation of the classic cartoon. It also asks, “Oh Young Sim. Where was such a character born?”
The clip introduces the 14-year-old Young Sim, who was pressing her opinions against Kyung Tae at the time.
But 20 years later, things have changed between the two.
Young Sim is now a variety show production director (PD) for eight years and has become notorious after all her programs get canceled early.
In a flashback scene, Kyung Tae tells Young Sim, “I can do anything if it’s for you.”

But in the following scene, he slides off a tree and asks for help.
However, Kyung Tae is now a renowned CEO of a start-up business—a far cry from the frightened boy from the past.
“Is he the same Kyung Tae I used to know?” Young Sim asked.
Young Sim has to recruit Kyung Tae for her new dating show to succeed.
When they meet again, their old sparkle returns, and their chemistry from when they were 14 years old oozes again.
Amid their returning feelings, Kyung Tae wants to be civil with Young Sim.
“Let’s get along well from now on,” Kyung Tae says. However, Young Sim throws him over her shoulder and tells him, “Don’t ever appear in front of me again!”

“Whether back then or now, you haven’t changed in the slightest!” Kyung Tae teases.
From there, a romantic comedy is about to begin in Oh! Youngsim.
Oh! Youngsim Cast
Aside from Song Ha Yoon and Donghae, Oh! Youngsim also features Lee Min Jae as Lee Chae Dong, another variety show PD who has a crush on Young Sim, and Jung Woo Yeon as Gu Wol Sook, a famous YouTuber whose frenemies with Young Sim and joins her dating show.

In addition, Ga Young joins the show as Young Sim’s younger sister, Soon Shim; Wang Ji Hye as her older sister Jin Shim; H.O.T.’s Tony Ahn as her brother-in-law Woo Sang; Song Young Jae as her father, Dae Kwang; and Jo Yoo Ha as her niece Ji Yoo.
Oh Youngsim will premiere Monday, May 15, at 10 p.m. KST.
