No Hellboy Sequel Currently Planned According to David Harbour

Just when it seemed like comic book movies would be easy money, the 2019 Hellboy reboot is there to prove that you need these films to be good along with being based on cool characters. It's a shame that the film didn't do well since it does have a few fans and the source material is comprised of some really good comic books.

David Harbour, who looked cool as hell in the Hellboy makeup, was recently asked about a possible sequel in an interview with ComicBook.com. Unfortunately, for the few fans of this movie, it looks like that's not going to happen. This isn't surprising news - in fact, it would be shocking if the franchise somehow managed to squeeze out a sequel - but fans did have hope.

"I don't think there'll be much of a light. There's a lot of people who reach out to me who really loved it and really enjoyed the new take, and were just happy to see him back on the screen, but I know in the culture at large, I don't think it was very well received."

Thanks to bad pacing, weird execution, and not having much of an identity, Hellboy failed to make an impact around the world. It definitely has its fans and they will likely buy the Blu-Ray and DVD when it comes out.
