Tom Brady is often regarded as one of the greatest of all time in the NFL and has amassed a substantial net worth. He is set to be roasted on Netflix’s GROAT: Greatest Roast of All Time. On Monday morning, Netflix announced that the famous Patriots quarterback will be mocked by a lineup of comedians and other athletes, taking shots at his career, unretirement, and the recent divorce from supermodel Gisell Bundchen.
The roast is set to be streamed live on Netflix on May 5 at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT. It will be an unedited merciless roast of the counter back, hosted by Kevin Hart. Three people are confirmed to be on the show, including the host Kevin Hart, Tom Brady, and comedian Jeff Ross.
In the trailer, Tom Brady says, "I am unroastable," indicating that he is prepared to take any blow. Despite the football player's confidence, Kevin Hart and Jeff Ross are extremely talented comedians. The latter has hosted several Comedy Central roasts featuring Blake Griffin, Alec Baldwin, and Emmitt Smith. Needless to say, he knows exactly what he is doing.
It’s going to be extremely interesting to see the loved football player bullied and made fun of on stage. This is Netflix”s first roast, so the expectations are high. Chances are they will adapt the Comedy Central formula, which has been quite successful with roasts of people like Justin Bieber and Donald Trump. Suffice it to say that the fans are in for a treat.
All the comedians and celebrities are going to be taking shots at Brady and at each other. The dynamic will be interesting, entertaining, and fun to watch. We will see how long Brady can take the brunt of the force throughout the 90-minute roast.
