New Tokyo Olympics Posters by Anime Creators of Attack on Titan, One Piece, Sailor Moon & More


After being pushed back from 2020 to 2021, the Tokyo Summer Olympics are about to begin in Japan, and legendary manga creators Hajime Isayama, Eiichiro Oda, Naoku Takeuchi, and Yoshikazu Yasuhiko have illustrated new art to celebrate sports including the likes of karate, rock-climbing, skateboarding, and surfing.

The new posters were shared by Twitter users Attack on Fans, WSJ Manga, and Manga Mogura, and as you can see below, you'd recognize the signature art style of the creators of Attack on Titan, One Piece, Sailor Moon, and Gundam the Origin.

The Japanese Olympic Committe originally enlisted the worlds of anime to promote the global sports competitions, and iconic anime characters were announced as abassadors in early 2017. However, according to a recent report, many fans are not happy about the decision to use these characters to promote the Tokyo Olympics.
