New The Rise of Skywalker Image has Poe Flying the Falcon

Ever since The Force Awakens, Poe Dameron has always been credited as an ace pilot, and piloting has been so detrimental to his character that it was taken away from him in The Last Jedi. With The Rise of Skywalker though, Poe is going back in the cockpit, and a new image actually has him flying the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy.

We don't really know how Poe got behind the wheel of the Falcon, but it's fun to see him in it. For years the Falcon has always had a different set of co-pilots from Lando and L3 to Han Solo and Chewbacca. While I'm fine with Rey behind the wheel, I kind of always wanted to see her in X-Wing gear and flying her own little fighter ship. Hopefully we get that before the film ends, but it's just wishful thinking on my part.

While we do see Poe flying the Falcon here, it's been confirmed that he does get a new orange and white X-Wing for TROS. It's fun that he should get that color scheme, since it perfectly matches his droid BB-8. I hope we can see him flying with a bunch of other ships for the Resistance since my main love for the franchise has always been the ships.

For now, the wait for The Rise of Skywalker gets a little less long as November trudges along. The movie is barely a month away, and everyone can't wait to see how the Skywalker saga comes to an end.
