New Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker TV Spot Reveals Flying Sith Troopers

Let's face it, we're all a little curious about the Sith Troopers that will be introduced in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Now, we have a new glimpse at the First Order troopers and it looks like these guys can also fly.

The new TV spot still features the same footage we've already seen in the previous trailers. However, there's one awesome exception. There's a brief shot of a Sith Jet Trooper hovering in the air amidst an all-out battle and yes, he looks unbelievably cool.

The flying Sith Trooper is the coolest new thing about the teaser but there's also a menacing message from Emperor Palpatine. "This will be the final word in the story of Skywalker," he growls. We're not sure what the word is but we're hoping it's something good.

For now, we don't know much about the Sith Trooper other than they are an elite squad of Stormtroopers. But who could they be protecting? There's a possibility that they are working for the new Supreme Leader of the First Order Kylo Ren. Luckily, we'll find out more about them in just five short days.

The synopsis for The Rise of Skywalker reads as follows:

"A year after the events of The Last Jedi, the remnants of the Resistance face the First Order once again—while reckoning with the past and their own inner turmoil. Meanwhile, the ancient conflict between the Jedi and the Sith reaches its climax, bringing the Skywalker saga to a definitive end."

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters on December 20.
