It looks like Silk is getting her own TV series soon!

According to a recent report from Variety, Sony is developing a live-action series following Silk. Good Trouble's Lauren Moon is reportedly in talks to write the show. In addition, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller will serve as executive producers along with Amy Pascal.

The outlet says no network or streaming service is yet to be attached to the project, but their sources say Amazon is in talks to acquire the series. No further details were provided, but fans ought to be excited for the character to get her own show.

It is worth noting that Sony was reportedly in the early stages of development on a Silk standalone film back in 2018. The character was also potentially set to be featured on a female-led spinoff for Into the Spider-Verse, along with Spider-Gwen and Spider-Woman.

Not only that, but Deadline says Amazon is in talks for Sony's "suite" of television shows featuring various Marvel characters, which will be led by the Silk series. That said, the outlet points out that the talks are still in the early stages and there are still some issues to be resolved, "some of them have to do with a complicated web of multi-platform rights for the various characters."

First introduced in 2014's The Amazing Spider-Man #1, Silk is Peter Parker's Korean-American classmate named Cindy Moon. She possesses an advanced Spider-Sense known as the Silk Sense.
