Netflix's The Witcher Will NOT Debut This November

Netflix's The Witcher is set to debut this Fall but fans are unsure when in that period it will be coming to the popular streaming service. Considering how good the games are, it's easy to see why fans are hoping to see this already and adding former Man of Steel actor Henry Cavill to the proceedings makes things more interesting. However, those reports that claimed it would be coming out on November 1 have been proven false.

Apparently, Netflix reached out to this Reddit Mod and stated that the report is false and they are investigating this Mr. Altamarquez, who is not actually an employee of the company. While Altamarquez's Twitter has been deleted, the user's LinkedIn and Medium profiles are active according to PlayStation LifeStyle.

Here is the official statement:

We have been informed (by Netflix themselves, oddly enough) that the supposed Netflix employee in ‘executive production' listed in the article does not actually work for Netflix and as such, this news is confirmed as being false. Given the spread of this article already, we feel that leaving it up and tagging it is the best way to let people know about it being fake. Basically Pandora's Box was already opened and this is the best way we can stem the tide somewhat.

This is odd news and the fact that Netflix is looking into it is distressing. While we hope that they find the culprit spreading false information, it would be nice to know the show's actual release date. Knowing Netflix, they will probably announce the date when it is already in the streaming service.

Netflix's The Witcher is scheduled to debut this Fall.
