Netflix's The Witcher is scheduled to debut on the streaming service this Fall but we still don't have a proper release date for this video game adaptation. With Fall coming in a few months, one would think that the streaming service would have a release date reveal sooner or later. Well, it turns out they might have had one, as a deleted Netflix tweet may have revealed the release date of The Witcher.
From what can be seen below (via Redanian Intelligence), Netflix claimed that the show would be coming out 97 nights from now. If you do the math correctly, that means The Witcher will be coming out on December 17, 2019. That's pretty late for some but isn't the worst release date ever, with some of us even looking at it as an early Christmas present.
No official statement has been released since we should take this with a grain of salt. After all, the fact that Netflix themselves decided to share the seemingly harmless post shows that the people there have an idea as to when the show will debut. It seems like this release date isn't final yet, which has to be the main reason why the post was pulled.
I don't get why it's taking Netflix so long to decide on a release date, though that might have to do with shooting and/or production. My personal theory is that the show's release date will be announced when it debuts on the same day.
