Jung Da Eun Replaces Kim Sae Ron in Netflix’s Hunting Dogs

In a report cited by Star News, Netflix confirmed that Jung Da Eun will portray the role of Cha Hyun Joo, the character which was initially offered to Kim Sae Ron.

Officials decided to replace the actress if she stepped down from her role.

To recall, at the height of Kim Sae Ron’s drunk driving incident, the actress’ agency GOLD MEDALIST Entertainment released an official statement apologizing to people who were harmed during the accident.

As obtained by Soompi, the 22-year-old star promised “to do her best to restore the damage” and felt “deeply responsible that an incident such as this has occurred.”

“We apologize once more to everyone who experienced discomfort from this situation. We will do our best going forward to actively resolve this while communicating,” GOLD MEDALIST Entertainment added.

In the same report, Studio S shared that they have accepted Kim Sae Ron’s intent to step down along with the apology.

It can be recalled that the former child star turned leading lady was booked for drunk driving by the Seoul Gangnam Police Station.

After having her blood tested, the results came in and had approximately 0.2 percent, which is a level high enough for Kim Sae Ron’s driver’s license to be revoked.

Besides Hunting Dogs, she withdrew her appearance in SBS drama Trolley, a mystery melodrama that stars Kim Hyun Joo, Park Hee Soon, and Kim Mu Yeol.

Her supposed role, Kim Soo Bin, will be played by Juvenile Justice actress Jung Soo Bin.
