One of Korea’s leading girl groups and the nation’s pride TWICE has long proven that their friendship and bond go beyond work, which is one of the many reasons their fans, aka ONCEs, never seem to perish their love and support for the girls.
Having recently celebrated their 7th anniversary, the nine members sat down for a heartwarming interview to express their growing affection for each other and the journey they have experienced over the years.
TWICE’s eldest member, Nayeon got the question, “What makes you so close to each other?” which she answered with such fondness and pride about her members.
“I feel happiest when I am with TWICE members. They are so understanding and thoughtful. Above all, we have trust,” began the POP! singer.
Nayeon highlighted the trust they have for each other, saying that even if they sometimes feel hurt by one another’s words or actions, they go back to the love that connects them together.
She explained, “Individually, we are different from each other. Time to time, unintentionally, I might hurt someone or get hurt by someone. But I would think that all those words or actions that might hurt me are based on love for each other. That’s the level of trust I have in members.”
The group’s leader Jihyo echoed Nayeon’s sentiments when she responded to the question, "Tell us about the time when you were comforted by TWICE members."
“My love for the TWICE members and love for the team, TWICE, have grown so big… They understand my strengths and shortcomings. And I have 8 of them. That makes me feel so thankful, and that kind of thought comforts me.” expressed the main singer.
Jihyo also revealed that TWICE is her current big interest, which shows that a constant fascination and care advance any friendship.
She shared, “My biggest interest is TWICE. I just love my team so much. Our love for the team is very strong. All members feel that way,”
One of TWICE’s main dancers, Mina, believes that the reason many fans love the group is that their chemistry is always visible on and off stage.
“Closeness among our team members is noticeable on stage or in any other places. We ourselves have fun and feel happy when we are with each other. And we share such happiness with ONCE. That must be why many fans love us.” answered Mina.
In July, all nine members renewed their contract with JYP Entertainment, bringing fans so much joy and satisfaction that TWICE will never fail their loving ONCEs.
The group recently made a comeback with "Between 1 & 2," and one of the members made her solo debut. Over the years, TWICE has gathered numerous awards and reached many milestones that will forever be engraved in KPOP history.
With their beautifully sounded, well-crafted discography and mesmerizing personalities, visuals, TWICE has been capturing hearts since 2015, proving that these nine girls will forever be impossible not to adore.
TWICE is expected to give and do more as a KPOP group in the coming years. Brace yourself ONCEs, because these nine girls are here to stay and slay.
