Another episode of Game of Thrones has come and gone and the end of Season 8 only two weeks away. In the meantime, Nathalie Emmanuel has a truly cryptic message for fans who have just watched Episode 4.
SPOILERS AHEAD! Turn back now if you haven't seen Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4!
Some things never change. The Last of the Starks only had two deaths but they were truly devastating. Just after losing Jorah Mormont, Daenerys Targaryen lost two more loyal companions as she made her way to King's Landing. First, Euron Greyjoy shot down Rhaegal with his massive dragon-killing scorpion. Then Missandei is captured, brought to Cersei Lannister, and killed in front of her by the Mountain.
It's a shocking moment in the show but Nathalie Emmanuel doesn't seem so bothered. Instead, she wants people to keep remembering Missandei's last word. Check out her tweet below.
Although people are truly hurting from Missandei's unfair death, they also couldn't help but notice that her last words were fitting for the character.
So why did Missandei choose to say "Dracarys" instead of something like, "Valar Morghulis"? It's an interesting parallel in her own story arc. "Dracarys" was the one word that freed Missandei from slavery in the third season. Also, it could be the one word that could help Daenerys defeat Cersei in the next episode. Either way, we're hoping Dany takes it to heart and avenges Missandei's death.
Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5 will air on HBO on May 12.
