in a recent interview with Saikyo Jump (via DBHype), Kishimoto praised Goku's longtime bald-headed friend, Krillin, and explained why he enjoys seeing his character in Toriyama's series.

"Among the many characters in Dragon Ball, the one I like the most is Krillin," Kishimoto said. "I've always passionately read the parts where he chases Goku's back, even though he knows he's stronger than him. I love all the chapters where Krillin fights, and that's one of the reasons I choose to draw Volume 11. Congratulations on the 40th anniversary!"

Krillin may not be as powerful as his Saiyan friends, but Dragon Ball Super has given the bald fighter some memorable moments in the Tournament of Power arc as a member of Universe 7's team. In the Galactic Patrol Prisoner arc, he gets to fight Moro's goons in Earth. Although Krillin doesn't have a fighting scene in the current Granolah the Survivor arc, Toei Animation has already confirmed that he is one of the fighters appearing in the upcoming Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie, which is set to release next year. The concept art reveals that Krillin has taken a police officer role, but the producers of the film didn't reveal any plot details about Krillin.

Currently, Kishimoto is back to writing Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, and the next chapter will be released in the Weekly Shonen Jump later this month along with the latest chapter of Dragon Ball Super.
