Mysterio Explains the Elementals in New Spider-Man Far from Home Clip

Though everyone is already sure that Mysterio is a bad guy in Spider-Man: Far from Home, the trailers continue to push that he's one of the heroes and is from another dimension much like Earth. Just in, we have a new clip of Mysterio explaining what the Elementals are to Peter Parker.

Check it out:

From the get-go, we can already see through Mysterio's act as he explains the Elementals. He says that the creatures attacked specific coordinates of his world and are doing the same to Earth. Since Mysterio is controlling the things, it's very likely that he already has specific targets in mind, and he could just tell SHIELD where they'll attack. Then he just swoops in, "defeats" them, and is praised as a hero.

It's all very Syndrome from The Incredibles, but I am very welcome to the movie proving me wrong. Maybe Mysterio really is telling the truth; maybe he's just a lunatic; but if anything, I think the fans need him to be the villain. After all, he's one of Spider-Man's most famous enemies. It would be betraying the character if he was anything else—much like what they did with the Mandarin in Iron Man 3.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man must step up to take on new threats in a world that has changed forever.

The wait is almost over for Spider-Man: Far from Home, and the movie is set to hit theaters this coming July 2.
