My Name and Yumi’s Cells actor Ahn Bo Hyun is confirmed to star in the new film alongside Girls’ Generation member YoonA.
Filmmaker R&K revealed that Ahn Bo Hyun and YoonA would unite to play the male and female protagonists in the upcoming film 2 O’Clock Date.
The two renowned actors will star in the imminent romantic comedy film that follows the warm and fairytale-like story of a man who lives on the floor above a woman’s residence who is hiding an unimaginable secret. Their romantic and comical story begins as they meet each other every day.
The film reunites YoonA with director Lee Sang Geun, who also previously worked with the singer-actress in the hit film Exit in 2019.
Ahn Bo Hyun Replaces Kim Seon Ho In New Film 2 O’Clock Date, My Name Star To Lead Opposite YoonA
Earlier September 2021, it was announced that Kim Seon Ho and YoonA would star in a new project together.
The two were first seen on-screen when they co-hosted the 2020 MBC Music Festival. News of them partnering together for the film created a huge buzz.
However, he decided to leave the filming in October 2021 after issues about his alleged behavior towards an ex-girlfriend resurfaced online.
Ahn Bo Hyun And YoonA To Showcase A Budding Romance In New Film 2 O’Clock Date
Huge attention is now focused on Ahn Bo Hyun and YoonA as the two have visibly proved their exemplary acting skills in several films and dramas since their career had started.
YoonA began his acting career when she landed a minor role in the 2007 MBC Kdrama Two Outs in the Ninth Inning. Soon after, YoonA settled her name on the limelight with lead roles in the Kdramas You Are My Destiny, Love Rain, The K2, and Hush.
Aside from 2 O’Clock Date, YoonA will also present her flexible acting skills in the upcoming Kdrama Big Mouth alongside Lee Jong Suk.
Meanwhile, Ahn Bo Hyun dominated the Kdrama community with his characters in Itaewon Class and Kairos in 2020. His recent acts were in the Netflix series My Name alongside Nevertheless actress Han So Hee and the TVing Original Yumi’s Cells with Kim Go Eun.
2 O’Clock Date is expected to start filming in April 2022. At the same time, other details regarding the other cast members will be revealed in the following days.
